My work as a facilitator of group processes is based on the conviction that every team has the expertise, wealth of ideas and social skills to successfully tackle its own challenges. Most groups do not need external experts to provide the answers. However, it can be helpful to make use of the support of an outsider who can provide ideas for structures and processes, make methodological suggestions and take on the task of maintaining the framework agreed by the group - thus enabling the participants to concentrate fully on the essentials.
For me, process facilitation means supporting groups in achieving the goal they have set themselves. In doing so, I invite people to look at their own challenges from unfamiliar perspectives. Those who have thought the impossible can turn to the tried and tested with determination - or confidently try out the previously unthought.
